Effective date: 15 October 2026. Applies to Habit Tracker for iPhone, version 1.0.
Habit Tracker keeps your habits on your device. There is no account. The app does not send your habits, notes, schedules, reminders or completion history to the developer or to any server, and it contains no advertising, analytics or third-party tracking code.
The app stores what you enter: habit names, icons, categories, notes, schedules, reminder times, completion history and archived habits. It also stores your appearance choice (System, Light or Dark) and whether you finished the first-run screen. This is kept in the app's local storage on your iPhone. The developer does not receive it.
Your device may include app data in iOS backups (for example iCloud Backup or a computer backup), depending on your iOS settings. Those backups are handled by Apple and your own settings, not by this app.
If you add a reminder to a habit, the app asks iOS for notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device. Reminders show the habit name. You can change or turn off reminders in the app and manage permission in iOS Settings.
In Settings you can export a backup as a JSON file and import one later. The export contains all your habits, including archived ones, with their notes, schedules, reminder times and completion history. The file is not encrypted. You choose where to save it, and after that it is handled by the app or storage service you chose. The developer never receives it. Keep backup files somewhere you trust.
Importing a backup replaces all habits in the app, including archived habits and their history, after you confirm. It does not change your appearance setting.
The app does not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not use the network for its own features.
Apple may give developers aggregated, non-identifying information such as crash or usage statistics if you have chosen to share it through iOS, the App Store or TestFlight. The app itself does not collect this.
Your data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. In Settings, "Delete all local data" removes all habits and history and cancels scheduled reminders. It does not reset your appearance setting, does not clear notifications that were already delivered to Notification Center, and does not delete backup files you exported earlier. Delete those yourself where you saved them. Deleting the app removes its local data from your device.
Because the developer does not receive your habit data, there is no copy on a developer server to delete.
The app has no account and does not transmit personal information to the developer or to third parties.
The app does not add its own encryption. Your data relies on the protection iOS provides on your device, such as your passcode. Exported backup files are plain text. Keep your device and your backups under your control.
If the app's data practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date before the change ships.
